Shoreditch Town Hall
Shoreditch Town Hall re-opened almost three years ago, following extensive renovations. It has been restored as a venue for community, cultural and small business use, and offers a mixture of grand formal rooms and smaller spaces suitable for rehearsals, auditions, meetings, training events classes, workshops, social events, fashion and design shows, parties and launches.
In addition, there is a large, rambling basement, offering a unique gallery space. There is occasioanlly small office/studio space for rent, but all spaces are currently occupied.
Run by an independent charitable trust, Shoreditch Town Hall can't provide free or subsidised space. However, it does offer substantially discounted hire charges to registered charities, local arts organisations and (for private events) to local residents living in Hackney, or within 1 mile.

IMT
IMT is a non-profit contemporary arts space that holds temporary exhibitions and events in addition to providing services to artists and visitors.
In January 2008 IMT will be relocating to 34-48 Vyner Street, which will allow us to provide new workspace facilities and artistic services.
We are now accepting applications for artists' workspace in the new premises. Workspace membership will offer a high quality creative environment with inclusive resources designed to appeal to a range of contemporary artists and cultural practitioners. The workspaces will be available from March 2008.
Facilities include:
- Generous desk space in an open plan environment inclusive of electricity, heating, water, business rates and insurance with 24/7 access
- Access to four purpose built project spaces on the ground floor
- A large workshop with ground floor loading bay access
- Meeting room
- Common room with kitchen facilities
- High-speed wireless broadband
- Large storage space with personal lockers
- Biannual 'Open Studios'
Membership is by application and will be charged at £70 per week.
