Our studios range in size from 150 to 900 sq/ft (13 to 83 sq/m) with a ceiling height of 3.5m. All are independently metered and most have 3 phase power with a ring main of 30amps.
Established in 2001 Whirled Art Productions is a not for profit community based organization which aims to support artists and arts organizations in the production, promotion and distribution of their work and therefore establish themselves within the creative industries.
We aim to broaden opportunities for local people by providing a much-needed arts resource within the borough, widening local audiences and developing local talent.
Whirled Art Productions has transformed disused railway arches into a versatile, high quality, low cost vibrant creative space. The building comprises 2 large inter-connecting split-level arches with an internal floor area of some 7000sq/ft / 650sq/m.
We are currently running 18 bespoke studio spaces and and a gallery area where resident and other local artists exhibit their work.
Having grown organically through word of mouth most studios have been built to the artists specifications and the studios are now home to some 22 local artists.
