Our unique first floor space offers both a substantial main gallery area with a large outdoor balcony area plus an ante room via which the main gallery, kitchen and small meeting room are connected. Wooden floors and white walls create a sense of unity throughout.
We offer over 1068 square feet of wall space and 900 sq feet of floor space in total. A number of space dividing screens are available upon request. This space is occasionally available for hire for exhibitions, instillations, photo-shoots, events or similar use on a daily or weekly basis. It has a capacity of 60 standing or 25 seated in the main area.
The Gallery space benefits from impressive natural light, which streams through the windows that occupy the entire back wall and open onto a balcony. A monumental and impressive space with high ceilings, it can accommodate large pieces comfortably without losing its sense of intimacy. Newly installed positional lighting provides good even light on all of the wall areas. The gallery offers 572 square feet of floor space and 750 sq feet of wall space.
The Balcony that leads directly off the gallery adds a further 194 sq feet of floor space. Overlooking Vauxhall gardens, the balcony offers impressive views of the city skyline framing the park and riding school directly below, and is ideal for exhibiting sculpture.
The Ante Room is a multifunctional space that can be used as a continuation of the exhibition, perhaps to delineate works on paper from works in the major exhibition. Alternatively it is a welcoming reception room, directly serviced by the kitchen area. This area offers 16 sq feet of floor and 171 sq feet of wall space.
The Meeting Room is an optional additional space that sits slightly raised from the rest of the gallery space. Lit by spot lights and carpeted, it offers another multifunctional room that would serve as the perfect place to conduct business meetings, or as a continuation of the main exhibition. This room offers an additional 142 sq feet of hanging space or 63 sq feet of floor space.
